Pickup Trucks and SUV Sales Recovered a Bit By Jay Stevens
Toyota is enjoying its sales share in the automotive world. Earlier, it was revealed that the September sales of pickup trucks and have slightly rebounded. Nonetheless, it is said that the increase in sales is not sufficient to preclude General Motors as well as DaimlerChrysler from losing shares to Toyota.
Several factors like declining gas prices, higher incentives and lower interest rates have contributed much to increase the sales of light trucks. The latter has increased by 1.2 percent. On one hand, passenger car sales dropped by 5.5 percent. This information was revealed by Ward's AutoInfoBank. Moreover, those automakers that have relied on their pickups and SUVs greatly benefited from the increase.
However, Toyota's sales percentage is soaring like a rocket. In fact, it has surged more than 20 percent and overshadowed other auto giants. According to Jesse Toprak of Edmunds.com, "Toyota has the right image, said, which gives advice on cars. “Image seems to be the most important thing for a carmaker right now.”
According to Ward's report, of the 7 largest automakers, only Toyota, which accounted for 16.5 percent of the market, and Ford Motor, at 17.3 percent,

increased their share. Sales of all Ford vehicles were up 0.4 percent when adjusted for one additional selling day this September.
Compared to the previous year sales, Ford has sold 21 percent more cars. The significant percentage of which comes from the low-margin fleet customers. Greater percentage also comes from its best-selling vehicle Ford F-150. As a result, said model along with the Ford F-150 pickup parts are now considered the primordial priority of the automaker. This concern is implemented so as to keep its standing and sales in the pickup truck segment.
As a fact, Ford has a better standing in the pickup truck segment. Moreover, this standing is well-protected and secured by the automaker. To further protect its standing, the automaker has launched an upgraded version of its trucks. These trucks are expected to heighten the customers desire to possess high-performance vehicles.
